Fresh Salmon

This painting was created with the idea of how a whole salmon looks before flaying. The fish itself is based off a picture Kat Murphy provided of a King Salmon that she caught in Alaska. Behind the Salmon I drew in plastic wrap and butcher paper to practice rendering different textures in the same piece. Looking at Salmon makes me hungry I really enjoy the fresh Salmon of the Northwest and also like smoking it too.
